Take control of your next temperature measurement or control project with R3aktor. R3actor combines a thermocouple or RTD front end with an Arduino compatible core to create a complete measurement solution in a compact package. Record data using the included 4GB SD card or take advantage our free R3aktor Hub PC software to record, playback and view live data.
Small size, low power consumption, and integrated Li-Po battery charger make R3actor perfect for compact and battery powered applications. The ARM® Cortex®-M0+ microprocessor ensures you have the processing power to get the job done, even on battery power.
Each R3aktor ships with full featured firmware, ready for use out of the box. Measure four temperature sensors on-board, or up to eight by adding a thermocouple or RTD shield – also supported by the built-in firmware. Our R3aktor Hub PC application makes setup and data acquisition a breeze. R3aktor Hub provides live data monitoring, data recording, and offline data analysis. View data logs captured on a PC or recorded by the R3aktor itself on its integrated SD card. Note, R3aktor Hub is only compatible with the factory provided firmware and cannot be used with custom firmware.
Leverage existing shield, hats, and breakout boards. R3actor was designed to be pin compatible with Arduino Uno devices and electrically compatible with 3.3V compliant expansion boards. In addition, R3actor includes a QWIIC compatible I2C connector which can be used with PlayingWithFusion and 3rd party QWIIC breakout boards. Nearly all microprocessor pins are broken out into through-hole connections, even the SD card signal lines.
Uncompromising design. Competing boards save money by not including all necessary decoupling capacitors and discrete components that support the SAMD21 micro. These boards may work fine on a breadboard only to experience glitches and instability in another environment. PlayingWithFusion thoroughly tests each board we produce (and we include all the decoupling caps) to ensure you have a stable base to build your next project
