The I2C encoder board enables a rotary encoder to be interfaced with the Qwiic connect system. It utilizes an Atmel ATtiny841 to process information from the encoder, which makes it an excellent low-power device. From seasoned electronics hobbyists to those just getting started, the I2C encoder board is right for you!
Wiring simplification: The Qwiic connect system reduces wiring complexity. A basic encoder breakout PCB would use 5 wires, compared to the single cable needed for the I2C encoder board.
Software simplification: Playing with Fusion's custom Arduino libraries makes the implementation of the I2C encoder board very fluid. The encoder's information can be obtained in just a few lines of code, which not only speeds up the development process but also increases code legibility.
Excellent documentation: Check out PwFusion's GitHub pages for comprehensive product documentation! From Arduino libraries to example projects, there is plenty of information to help you level up your projects!
Open Source: IFB-40001 is open source. PCB design files and firmware can be found on the below GitHub pages. If you would like to make changes to the firmware on the encoder board, instructions are included for this process.
